Overview
A centralized approval workflow system that aggregates approval requests from multiple source systems into a single interface, with configurable multi-level approval chains and SLA tracking.
Employees were receiving approval requests via email from 5 different internal systems — HR leave requests, procurement POs, IT access requests, expense claims, and document signatures. Approvers were overwhelmed and SLAs were routinely missed with no visibility.
Built a unified approval hub that integrates via webhooks with all source systems. Implemented configurable approval chains (sequential, parallel, or conditional), real-time email/push notifications, and an SLA monitoring dashboard for management.
Average approval response time dropped from 2.3 days to 4.2 hours. SLA compliance rate improved from 61% to 94%. Approvers saved an average of 45 minutes per day previously spent context-switching.
